CAGH HISTORY
The community of Gressier residing in the United States founded an association, Committee for the Advancement of Gressier-Haiti, on April 16, 1991 commonly referred to by the acronym CAGH. CAGH is a non-profit organization that provides services in education, health care, and aid in project development to the communities of Gressier. Since its inception, CAGH’s main objective has been to participate and contribute to the development of the commune of Gressier.
The association works closely with its members to unify all people associated with Gressier by creating many chapters in different cities. Presently there are chapters of CAGH in Miami, New York, and Boston. We also work in close collaboration with the sister association, CADGH, in Paris, France. All these chapters and association have developed together strategies involving not only organizing themselves in the US and in France, but also partaking in the development of Gressier.
